Our client are a market leader in the integration of automated solutions into industries such as FMCG, Automotive and Marine. They are seeking a hardware design engineer with experience across controls and drive systems.

Key Responsibilities – Electrical Design Engineer

  • Electrical site surveys
  • Calculations to support sizing and selection (Power, Short Circuit, Voltage Drop, Heat Dissipation, etc.)
  • Equipment / component selection in line with client specification and internal preference
  • Single line diagrams for power, control and networking / communications
  • Control / Drive Panel general arrangements
  • Electrical schematics and cable schedules
  • Procurement of general components and materials
  • Manufacturing handover, documentation and support
  • As-built documentation from Testing and Commissioning
  • Complying with all appropriate industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards
  • Meeting project milestones
  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of the Hardware Design department
  • Maintenance of the Technical Construction File

Qualifications & Experience – Electrical Design Engineer

  • Apprenticeship / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
  • Minimum 18 months in a similar role
  • Experience using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Good understanding of control system electrical design
