SERVICE ENGINEER REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

We are recruiting a Service Engineer for a small Engineering business based in Telford, the hiring manager is looking for someone who is predominantly Mechanically biased but has got some Electrical experience.
The contracted work hours are 37.5 hours per week (day shifts Monday to Friday), any hours worked over the 37.5 hours basic will be paid at T1/2 overtime premium.
We are looking for someone who has come from a heavy manufacturing / engineering industry.
What You Will Do:
- Install, commission, and repair a wide range of products covering mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical work.
- Offer PLC programming support to the electrical department as needed.
- Manufacture control systems and assist in the workshop, followed by onsite installation and commissioning, including PLC programming support.
- Work away from home for unspecified periods, including potential overseas travel, with the flexibility to commit at short notice.
- Participate in weekend work and overtime, including weekends and bank holidays, as required by the workload.
- Utilize test equipment and tools provided by the company, ensuring proper maintenance and usage.

- Proven experience in a similar role within the engineering sector, with a strong focus on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays, and travel as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of work and a willingness to undertake additional training as needed.

This position is based in the Telford, Shropshire, with the opportunity for both domestic and international travel.
