The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Event Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of events. This position involves working closely with clients, internal departments, suppliers, and contractors to deliver exceptional events. Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with clients to understand their needs and advise on event planning.
  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Upselling additional services and branding opportunities to enhance the client experience.
  • Producing detailed event notes and financial reports to ensure accuracy in invoicing.
  • Creating floor plans using CAD software in line with client specifications.
  • Chairing internal planning meetings to align teams on event requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Managing digital signage and branding opportunities for events.
  • Working flexible shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event operations, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver outstanding results.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar operational role within the events industry, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external clients. A degree in Event Management or equivalent work-based experience is essential, providing a solid foundation in event planning, logistics, and delivery. A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations is also required to ensure compliance and create a safe environment for all stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key, along with strong IT proficiency and problem-solving abilities to effectively navigate event management software and address any technical challenges. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, combined with exceptional time management, multitasking, and organisational skills, is crucial in this fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be professional, resilient, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach will be essential to thrive in this dynamic and demanding role.

Desirable skills & experience:

  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification.
  • Experience with CAD
  • Momentus event management software.
