Hygiene supervisor – Telford

Salary: £14.54 P/H

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working hours: Monday – Friday 11pm – 7am.

We are seeking an experienced an experienced night shift Hygiene supervisor to join a large food manufacturing company based in Telford.

The Role:

You will play a key role within the team to ensure Hygiene targets are met efficiently, on time and to the highest quality and food safety standards. You will aid and support the Hygiene Manager to ensure the Hygiene Function/teams are consistently achieving the objectives. As the Hygiene Supervisor you will be ensuring that “get it right first-time approach” is achieved through training and development of the Hygiene team. As Hygiene Supervisor you will be responsible for any training needs the Hygiene teams may have for food and non-food contact cleaning.

Main Duties:

  • Allocation of jobs to individuals to meet site requirements.
  • Provide support and advice to the hygiene team of best practices and procedures daily.
  • Monitor the Hygiene team performance by auditing cleaning standards to achieve and upkeep microbiological standards across the site.
  • Ensuring all food and non-food contact surfaces/equipment is cleaned to the highest standard.
  • Filling out documentation daily which would include Daily/Weekly Task Sheet. Also updating any training records for hygiene staff who require or have been trained against a procedure.
  • Deliver Chemical training/ SOP to new starters.
  • Working closely with the Hygiene Manager on Hygiene KPIs/targets for the site, this would include supporting the Hygiene Managers Hygiene department objectives.
  • Deputize in the Hygiene Mangers absence.
  • Monitoring agency hours and communication daily with relevant departments including agency on what requirements are needed.

About You:

  • Chemical concentration checks for all related areas/Awareness and observations on chemicals and consumables stock levels.
  • Ensuring adherence to schedules/tasks and visual inspection of activities to ensure correct standards.
  • Checking of Hygiene records to ensure completed correctly.
  • Communication and feedback any issues to relevant department.
  • Training of operatives on cleaning tasks and duties required.
  • Investigations into accidents and food safety incidents.
  • All other duties required to deliver an effective Hygiene service to the business.
  • Demonstrating skills and knowledge to an auditor and assist in audits.
