About the RoleOur client is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Production Control team as a Material Controller. This permanent role offers the chance to contribute to our dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of our component supply chain.Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order Management: Release and expedite component orders, maintaining delivery schedules to support company’s Assembly and After Sales.
  • Manual Orders: Raise manually generated orders for components outside of MRP control.
  • Vendor Performance: Monitor delivery performance of selected vendors and implement improvements.
  • Supplier Deliveries: Track and ensure progress on supplier deliveries.
  • Meetings: Attend supplier and department meetings to discuss targets and actions.
  • Risk Identification: Identify and report risks to company’s continuity of component supply.
  • Departmental Support: Assist in achieving departmental and company objectives.
Additional Responsibilities (one position):
  • Identify and report risks to company’s continuity of component supply.
  • Manage delivery schedules of FCLs to avoid detention or demurrage.
  • Pass freight-related invoices for FCLs for China.
  • Liaise with 3PLs.
General Tasks
  • Understand and follow relevant procedures and training manuals.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of tasks.
  • Support departmental objectives and improvement activities.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment
  • Adhere to procedures and compliance regulations (SOX, ISO9001, ISO14001).
  • Take on additional tasks as requested by supervisors or managers.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A to C, including English Language and Maths.
  • Motivated, computer literate, and enthusiastic with good numeracy and attention to detail.
