Salary: £30k - £32k, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 40 hours

Production Planner - About the role:

The role of the Production Planner is to create and maintain an achievable manufacturing plan, using the MRP system (123 Insight,) to fulfil customer demands.

You will prepare Master Production Schedules (MPS) to ensure an achievable production plan is produced to allow on time delivery and high customer satisfaction by optimising productivity and ensuring that the plan is understood by production.

The MPS will be produced in line with business expectations against monthly sales budgets whilst taking into consideration available production capacity.

You will be responsible for scheduling and allocating work within the Production Department - This includes:

Raising works orders.
Ensuring the production schedules are visible.
Planning manufacturing requirements.
Updating works order status and delivery times.
Monitor sales order due dates and update as appropriate.
Planning for seasonal stock in line with company expectations.
Liaison with other departments to ensure supplies are available.
Identify any supply chain issues.
Prepare and co-ordinate off site manufacturing.

You will act as the interface for supply and dispatch issues between production, warehouse, procurement and customers services - this involves:

Ensuring the warehouse know what components are required for Production.
Monitoring Goods in and out with the warehouse.
Creating packing lists.
Developing processes to improve planning efficiency and effectiveness.
Building a standard operating platform.

Production Planner - Candidate, you will have:

At least one years' experience of working in a similar role is essential.

Excellent problem-solving skills
Be able to work under pressure and keep a cool head
Good interpersonal skills
Be able to work with all levels of the company
Be familiar with MRP systems, and
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
