Your new companyHays are working with a well established Manufacturing business based in Telford who are looking to recruit a HR Manager on a permanent basis. This role is part of the Senior Management team and will help drive continuous improvement within the business. You will work closely with the Financial Controller to manage all HR activities across the company.Your new roleAs HR Manager, your role will involve:

  • Support the management of the company in all matters relating to human resources management.
  • Lead in formulating and implementing policy in respect of human resources.
  • Lead in formulating and delivering strategy in respect of personnel development and training.
  • Management of a small team comprising reception and general office services.
  • To manage and co-ordinate all HR activities across the company.
  • To manage and co-ordinate all employee training & development activities across the company to ensure that colleagues are engaged, developed and supported in their job roles.
  • Ensure that all employment related laws, rules and regulations are complied with.
  • To manage and co-ordinate recruitment process including advertising roles, liaising with agencies, on-boarding/inductions and employment contracts.
  • Manage and co-ordinate disciplinary processes. Working with managers and supervisors across the company, participating in investigations and hearings.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideally degree educated.
  • Hold a recognised HR qualification (CIPD) and will have experience managing HR in a manufacturing organisation..
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to network and develop relationships at all levels.
  • Digitally savvy.
