Major IT & Digital are delighted to be working on an exclusive arrangement with a global manufacturing and wholesale business based in the Telford area.
Working for a well-established business with over 20 years industry experience, achieving a UK turnover in excess of £140m with continued growth and expansion plans within the IT team.
The role
You will be report directly into the Group IT Manager to oversee and coordinate the activities of the operational team to ensure the effective smooth running of all IT services at the Telford site.
Involves supervising key business changes, supporting team members by solving technical issues and collaborating with all UK departments / wider global business to build strong relationships and achieves realistic business goals.
The person
At least 2 years commercial experience in a similar team lead or IT management position managing and overseeing the work of 4 direct reports
Hands on experience with IT networks such as IPv4, DHCP, R&S, firewalls, Wi-Fi and VPNs
Ability to prioritise and set goals for the team, ensuring these are aligned with the senior management team
Ensuring IT governance is carried out including system backups, archiving and disaster recovery
Providing the team with guidance, technical coaching, training plans and staff appraisals
Ensure company assets are maintained with correct level of security
Performing periodic risk assessments and initiating risk control strategies
Knowledge of Microsoft products O365, AD, SQL and Microsoft servers
Provide a high-level of support and guidance to the team resolving complex issues at a senior level
