Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our well established client in Telford for a Line Leader on a temporary to permanent basis.

Hours of work:

7:30am - 7:30pm

4 on 4 off - days

Pay:

£13.77 per hour increasing after 12 weeks

£14.61 after 12 weeks

Duties and responsibilities as a Line Leader:

  • To adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations
  • Ability to report H&S issues
  • Follow escalation process for H&S, Quality and production issues.
  • To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures
  • To effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets
  • Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
  • To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis
  • Effectively use the integrated management system (Vision) where applicable
  • To ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external
  • To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to
  • To attend team leader meetings
  • To assist in the training and development of new starters
  • To act as a role model for best practice, adopting role model behaviours
  • Monitor, control and minimise waste
  • Play an active part in continuous improvement
  • To participate in the companies appraisal system
  • Drive own personal development through training and work based experience
  • To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

The ideal candidate will have as a Line Leader:

  • Key knowledge of H&S systems and practical approach
  • QMS awareness and understanding of quality deliverables
  • Basic financial understanding
  • Targets driven
  • Knowledge of the IPS ways of working and line operation
  • Key process and policy knowledge
  • Maths and English accredited qualification
  • MHE Trained (not essential)
