ROLE

  • Permanent full time position reporting to Head of Technical
  • Technical Lead for the site.
  • This role will be responsible for assisting customers with quality improvement initiatives as well as coordinating with the QA team and Site Internal Auditor/Compliance Manager.
  • To ensure compliance, development and adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), laws and regulations.
  • Quality assurance aims to ensure that the product or service an organisation provides is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements including legal compliance and customer expectations.
  • The Technical Manager coordinates the activities required to meet quality standards.
  • The Technical Manager will monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and take lead in site visits and audits.
  • Demonstrates keen eye for detail and exceptional quality standards.
  • They liaise with other QA’s and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the Technical Manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
  • Since maintaining quality demands adaption to customer expectations, Technical Manager employ a variety of measures to place quality at the heart of an organisation. These include Quality Management Systems such as the Food Safety Management System (HACCP).

CANDIDATE

You will have a proven track record in Food Manufacturing. You will have experience leading BRC audits. You may be a seasoned Technical Manager or a QA Manager looking for the next step up in your career. Food Safety Level 4, HACCP Level 3 and Lead Auditor training are all desirable. You will have good interpersonal skills, leadership and management skills. For the right candidate there is scope for progression as the business continues to grow!
