Payroll Specialist

Prince Personnel are supporting a leading manufacturing business in Telford on their search for a Payroll Specialist. As the Payroll Specialist you will support the Payroll Supervisor to process the business payroll, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

You will be responsible for:

Process end-to-end monthly payroll for permanent employees.
Track/monitor all absence and holidays to process through the monthly payroll.
Complete all calculations for payroll for deductions and additional payments.
Calculate all overtime and audit all overtime to ensure all relevant overtime sheets approval for managers on a weekly basis.
Add data for all employees.
Manage and confirm all aspects of the payroll including SMP/SPP/SSP, pension auto enrolments or stopping contributions, overtime unit entitlement, all additional payments and deductions.
Check and confirm all entries are correct on pre-approval reports, check all NI, PAYE payments, tax codes.
Manage and monitor clocks for payroll process including additional minutes which have to be manually calculated.
Manage all absences and monitor workday to ensure it is being submitted correctly (including all CSP, unpaid leave, appointments, or any exceptions).
P11Ds.
Manage weekly timesheets.
Check all invoices are correct and processed for agency workers.
Manage auto-enrolment and renewal of pension.
Payroll reports.
Complete H&S head count reports for all worked hours showing all worked/overtime approved and additional minutes overtime.
Point of contact for payroll queries.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have previous payroll experience, a payroll qualification would be advantageous but isnt essential. You will preferably have experience with manual calculations, HMRC reporting, pensions and an understanding of tax codes, NIC, pension auto-enrolment and knowledge of pay and pension regulations including but not limited to SMP/SPP/SSP.
