Our client, a market leading design and manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded design and development engineer. With continued high levels of research and development, the company is consistently at the forefront of new technology and its equipment is highly regarded within the industry. You will be involved in the full design process of new projects and instrumental in all aspects of new product development. Working on a variety of exciting new design assignments this role offers an unrivalled chance for product variation and new technology design. Role & Responsibilities:· Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality. · Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity. · Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute. · Ensure the HSWA is complied with, at all times and ensure that all accidents and near misses are fully investigated. · Ensure that Company HR procedures are followed with the scope of responsibility. · Provide basic 'U' value calculation service · Support and assist Field Technical Services · Provision of technical support for the determination of industry and legislative data for both internal & external customers. · Ensure that CAD systems and data storage are maintained and secure, for the protection of company data and IP. · Facilitate in the manufacture and testing of new and existing products · Provision of drawing & technical administration support to business operations. · Communicate effectively within the organization and build strong working relationships with internal and external customers. · Champion continuous improvement for all aspects of the product development environment, processes and equipment.
Required Skills & Experience:· High level of numeracy and literacy. · Basic Knowledge of CAD software. · Good ability with Microsoft software. · Formal Engineering Qualification or Suitable Experience. · Industry Experience Desirable. · Good communication skills.
