**Production Supervisor required in Telford, Shropshire**
We are proud to be working with an Engineering business in Telford who are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team initially at a Supervisory level, but with a clear pathway to progress to a General Manager in the long term future when the current GM retires from the business.
We are looking for someone who has a proven background from within the Metal Finishing or Powder Coating industry who can join a small team and fit into the culture of the business seamlessly.
The working hours are day shifts Monday to Friday (with an early finish Friday) - 39 hours per week, and the starting salary will be £30,000 per annum.
We are looking for someone who lives within a 30 minute commute of Telford, Shropshire.
**What You Will Do:**
- Oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the production team to achieve set objectives and maintain high morale.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Manage resources effectively, including materials and personnel, to meet production targets.
**What You Will Bring:**
- A minimum education level of GCSE in Maths and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in an engineering environment, with metal finishing experience considered a strong advantage.
- Numeracy and computer literacy, with a keen commercial awareness.
- FLT Counterbalance License & First Aid Qualification (Desirable but not essential)
