Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child's life?Do you have experience supporting children with additional needs?Dunbar Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Telford.

This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), helping them to access learning, develop key skills, and thrive in a nurturing school environment.

The Role:
  • Full-time position during school hours

  • Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals

  • Supporting a pupil with SLD in both academic and social development

  • Adapting learning materials and approaches to suit individual needs

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SLD, SEN, or similar needs (essential)

  • A patient, caring, and empathetic nature

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to follow EHCP targets and support plans

  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
