Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Dunbar Education is thrilled to be recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Telford.

The Role

As a Specialist SEN TA, you will:

  • Support students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning and behavioral needs.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt lesson plans and ensure students' individual education plans (IEPs) are met.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Offer 1:1 and small-group support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN in a school setting.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN-specific training) - desirable but not essential.
