About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with a range of special educational needs, supporting them in their learning and development. You will assist teachers in delivering tailored learning plans, providing one-on-one support, and helping children engage with the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs. Your role will involve fostering a positive, inclusive environment that encourages all children to thrive and reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group support to children with special educational needs.
Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated activities to meet the needs of SEN children.
Support the emotional, social, and behavioral development of children, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to each child’s education.
Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the well-being of all children.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in SEN, childcare, or education (Level 2/3 or equivalent is desirable).
Experience: Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, in a school or similar setting.
Skills: Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Safeguarding: A current DBS check on the Update Service.
