Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with complex learning requirements.
- Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants and support staff, to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address specific learning goals and objectives for each student.
- Employ a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of the SEND curriculum.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with students with complex needs in a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND practices and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with various abilities.
