Job Description:

As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for the efficient management of our inventory and warehouse operations. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring that materials and products are handled, stored, and distributed efficiently to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, locations, and movements.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory audits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill orders and manage stock levels.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems and other software tools to track inventory.
  • Assist with the development of processes to improve warehouse efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment, preferably in the electrical or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items as needed.
  • Receiving incoming deliveries and off-loading using Fork Lift Truck
