SLITTER OPERATOR REQUIRED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE!!

Do you have previous Slitting experience from within the packaging, blown film packaging or food packaging sector, and are you looking for a long term job opportunity?!

We are recruiting a Slitter Operator to join a long-standing blown film manufacturer in Telford, Shropshire, this role will be working a fixed day shift pattern (8.30am - 16.30pm Monday to Friday) - 40 hours per week.

The basic salary for this will is just under £26,000 per annum, but the business does offer regular overtime rates and these are paid at T1/2 for a Saturday and double time for a Sunday.

The basic pay rate will also be reviewed once you've passed a 6 month probation period with the company.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate a slitting machine within a busy production environment
  • Assist with changeovers, conduct quality checks, and maintain general upkeep of equipment.
  • Test products to guarantee they meet client expectations.
  • Manage packing & folding of raw material and monitor material levels to feed machines adequately.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and 5S procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the team leader to escalate any issues and perform other reasonable duties as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar role gained from within the Packaging, Blown Film Packaging or Food Packaging industry
  • A willingness to learn and progress within the company.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues promptly.
  • A proactive approach to work, with a focus on safety and quality.
