Seeking a Project Accountant for our client to conduct a thorough investigation into accounting issues. This engagement will focus on identifying and resolving financial discrepancies, inefficiencies, duplicate payments, missing invoices, and cut-off issues to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The role requires an immedaite start and can be remotely worked with occasional travel to site, although being on site is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate financial records, transactions, and supporting documents.
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify irregularities.
- Engage with relevant teams to reconcile financial and operational records.
- Provide a comprehensive report detailing findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for process improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in accounting systems, particularly Access Financials would be highly desirable.
- Strong technical understanding of debits, credits, and accruals.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
