Food Production Operative

The Food Production Operative role is physically demanding and requires manual handling. You will engage in hands-on activities across various departments in the factory, ensuring the effective production and packaging of milk products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machinery Operation: You will operate a range of machinery for packaging and processing milk products, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and safely.
• Product Handling: After packaging, you will move products to cold storage, preparing them for distribution.
• Adherence to Regulations: It is vital to follow all food hygiene and health and safety regulations, ensuring your work area remains clean and hygienic.
• Compliance with Dress Code: To maintain food hygiene standards, only a single solid wedding band is permitted on the hands. Accessories such as earrings, bracelets, necklaces, makeup, and strongly scented products are not allowed in the production area.

Working Hours:

• Early Shift: 06:00 until finish
• Late Shift: 14:00 until finish
• Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 5 shifts over 7 days.( one day rest day in the week, theworking week includes Saturdays)
• Note: Early shift only on Saturdays.

Production finishes typically between 14:00 - 15:00, but this can vary depending on production demands. A degree of flexibility in your schedule is essential.

Pay rate: starts at £11.57 - £14.48 per hour, paid weekly into a bank account

Transportation:

To meet shift start times,it is crucial that you either have your own transportation or live within walking or cycling distance of the depot. Please be aware that public transport from Cheltenham, Gloucester, or Worcester does not arrive at the depot early enough for the early shift.
