We are seeking a Weighbridge Operator to join our team at the Tewkesbury depot. This role is essential for managing the flow of vehicles, ensuring accurate data recording, and maintaining site safety and administration. Day-to-day of the role:- Manage all vehicles entering and exiting the depot, weighing each load and recording data accurately.
- Ensure all vehicles have the correct, fully completed paperwork.
- Record and calculate inputs and outputs for the site.
- Communicate via radio with yard and transfer shed personnel.
- Produce weighbridge tickets and complete waste transfer notes.
- Monitor gross/tare/nett weights of vehicles to ensure legal weight limits are adhered to.
- Handle payments for disposal/collections as required.
- Perform general site administration and respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Ensure all visitors have the correct PPE before entering the site.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Availability to work Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
- Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Professional liaison with drivers and site visitors.
- Full UK driving licence.
