An introduction to the Senior Property Lawyer opportunity and our client:

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working exclusively with One Legal to recruit a permanent Senior Property Lawyer. One Legal is a shared legal service between four councils in Gloucestershire, offering a unique opportunity for ambitious lawyers/legal officers to work with a varied caseload. They are seeking an ambitious lawyer who is ready for a dynamic and challenging environment to help them grow their legal team.

About the Senior Property Lawyer vacancy:

  • The successful candidate will be joining an experienced and supportive team of lawyers, providing a wide range of legal advice and support in relation to commercial property matters.
  • The role includes management of half the Property team, comprising one Lawyer, one Senior Legal Officer, one Trainee Lawyer and one Paralegal. Responsibilities include work allocation, general management and supervision of one side of the team, direct line management of a Lawyer and supervising, mentoring and developing a Trainee Lawyer.
  • The role offers the opportunity to work on disposals, large scale residential developments and a range of interesting redevelopment projects.
  • The role also includes being part of the Extended Management Team.

Key duties of the Senior Property Lawyer will include:

  • Sales and
  • Leasehold disposals.
  • Compulsory Purchase Orders.
  • Commercial landlord and tenant work.
  • Development/regeneration work.
  • Leases and l
  • Estate management work.
  • Assisting partner councils with major projects.
  • Advising and assisting partner councils on both commercial and residential property matters.
  • Advising on governance issues, including politically sensitive and high value transactions.
