Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our leading aerospace manufacturing client in the West Midlands. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the New Product Introduction team, providing support and expertise to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of business targets and objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in CNC programming, utilizing 3D CAD/CAM software, particularly NX and Team Centre.

Key Responsibilities - Manufacturing Engineer

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide Manufacturing Engineering expertise during the APQP process, contributing to PFD, PFMEA, and DFMA activities
  • Create precise CNC programmes and detailed work instructions from 3D models to support the production of complex machined components
  • Develop and refine manufacturing systems and processes, incorporating best practises to enhance efficiency
  • Coordinate with global Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure process consistency and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues to improve yield and productivity
  • Establish standard times for manufacturing operations, focusing on waste reduction
  • Assist in the design, review, and approval of gauges, fixtures, and special tooling necessary for effective manufacturing

Qualifications & Requirements - Manufacturing Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in CNC programming using 3D CAD/CAM software, particularly NX and Team Centre
  • Extensive experience with DFM, DFSS, APQP, Lean methodologies, and Zero Defects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all organisational levels
  • Willingness to travel as required to support business objectives
  • Must obtain and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
