We are one of the market leaders in our field and have seen extensive growth over the past 5 years. As such we are expanding our team and we are now searching for an experienced and reliable Compliance Coordinator/Document Controller to join the team. This is a new and varied role that will see you working predominantly from our new Head Office in Tewkesbury, but also visiting construction sites across the UK and if it fits with the needs of the business occasionally working from home. As the Company Compliance Coordinator, you will be working with the Group SHEQ Manager to ensure that the company is following all relevant laws, regulations, and standards. You'll be helping to shape the business for the future whilst also developing your own skills an expertise. A key part of this role will be acting as the Document Controller for the business so experience in this area is highly desirable.

Additionally, you will assist with, developing, and implementing new policies and procedures across the company and will help to ensure that all employees understand and adhere to them. You will assist with internal audits and ensure that our policies and procedures are in accordance with best practice.

Compliance Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the activities of the companys compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Perform and maintain internal audits and ensure policies and procedures are in accordance with best practice
  • Act as the Company Document Controller
  • Write and prepare compliance reports for senior management
  • Assist with the creation of new company documentation
  • Ensure compliance with the companys policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Research and keep track of industry-related regulatory requirements and legislation
  • Identify and report areas of non compliance
  • Train and educate employees on new companys policies, etc
  • Assist with internal audits and site inspections
  • Coordinate with external auditors, and other professionals to manage compliance activities

Compliance Coordinator Requirements:

  • Microsoft package experience (Excel, Word and Project) - Essential
  • Internal Auditor training - Desirable
  • Prior working experience in a compliance - Essential
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of SHEQ compliance and regulatory laws and standards - Desirable not essential
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication - Essential
  • Meticulous attention to detail - Essential
  • Effective problem solving skills - Essential
  • UK Driving Licence - Essential
  • Have the right to work in the UK - Essential
