My client based just outside of Thame are looking for a compassionate, professional and dedicated Funeral Operative to join their team.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide essential support in delivering respectful and dignified funeral services.
  • Be responsible for handling a range of duties, including transportation, assisting with funeral preparations and ensuring that all services run smoothly.
  • This role requires a caring and professional approach and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion with excellent attention to detail.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Collect and transport the deceased.
  • Prepare and maintain funeral vehicles, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
  • Assist with funeral processions, including driving hearses and limousine vehicles.
  • Assist in the preparation of coffins, including dressing and placing the deceased.
  • Carrying out pallbearing duties when required.
  • You must have a full clean driving licence, have good time keeping with good attention to detail.
  • Be happy working as a team but also using your own initiative.
  • Be comfortable with all aspects of funeral duties.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm however you must be available for 24 hours on call one week in four including the weekend (overtime given).

DBS checks necessary.

Salary 27,560 per annum.
