Currently experiencing an exciting period of growth, my client manufactures and upholsters a broad variety of high-quality upholstered soft seating furniture. Now, due to growth and expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced upholsterer with a high level of furniture and upholstery skills. An Upholsterer with fabric cutting and sewing machine experience is required for this thriving seating manufacturer.

Bespoke Upholsterer Benefits:

Bespoke Upholsterer Experience:

  • Hands on experience of working with a large variety of fabrics, vinyl and leather
  • Different finishes (buttoning, fluting, quilting, etc)
  • Experience with patternmaking is essential
  • Experience with computerised cutting equipment including digitising and nesting programmes would be a strong advantage.

The role would incorporate daily activities within the Upholstery team including cutting fabric on the Gerber CNC, upholstering seating and assisting in other areas of the workshop as required - for example sewing, gluing and assembly, etc.

This is a fast paced, variable environment and we want to hear from enthusiastic team players who are willing to take up the opportunity to learn additional skills in other areas of the production process as and when necessary.
