Reed Accountancy currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Thatcham based client in a permanent, full-time position.This is an integral role reporting to the Directors for a growing Logistics business. This company have been expanding year upon year and provide an outstanding level of service to their clients.

You will have ownership of the full 360 accounting process and management of a junior member of staff. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a Finance Manager or Senior Accounting role with proven experience of taking the accounts to Trial Balance and analysis of figures.

Duties for the role include

  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
  • Preparation of monthly board packs
  • Cashflow statements and bank reconciliations
  • Budgeting and budget planning
  • Profit and Loss
  • VAT returns
  • Ownership of Purchase Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Supplier invoice approval, payment proposals and payments
  • Expense reconciliations
  • Post payments to accounts and allocate as required

Knowledge of SAGE 50 would be advantageous alongside confident Excel skills. Suitable candidates will be either Qualified, PQ or QBE and have experience of working within varied accounting roles as well as having strong communication skills, an investigative mind and strong attention to detail.

The role will initially be full office based before moving to a hybrid model upon successful completion of probation. Working hours are 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes lunch. Free parking is available alongside close to links to both bus and train stations.

This role requires you to start before the end of November 2024 and therefore needs a candidate on a 4-week notice or less.
