Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Package Planner
Location: Berkshire
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Package Planner to join our team on a contract basis and contribute to the successful delivery of a major project. You will play a vital role in the planning and scheduling of all mechanical and electrical packages, ensuring efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Package Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive plans and schedules for all mechanical and electrical packages within the project, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones and deadlines.
- Create and manage critical path analyses, identifying key dependencies and potential delays.
- Develop resource loading plans, allocating appropriate personnel and equipment for each package.
- Monitor progress against the schedule, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including planning reports, schedule updates, and risk assessments.
Coordination & Communication:
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors responsible for the respective MEICA packages.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment with other project teams.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including the project manager, client representatives, and other project team members.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks related to mechanical and electrical packages.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical and Electrical Planner, ideally within the water treatment or construction industry, with a focus on package planning.
- Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Proficient in using planning software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Security Clearance
Desirable:
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and control systems.
