Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be supporting an organisation based between Thetford and Kings Lynn in their search for a Management Accountant to join the team.

You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts for various production sites across the UK, focusing on variances and monitoring production costs. The company offers a competitive salary package including 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office based in the PE33 area of Norfolk.Your new roleIn this Management Accountant job, you will be responsible for producing detailed monthly management accounts for sites across the UK, which will involve working closely with all senior managers on site from the General Manager, Procurement and Senior Production staff to ensure accurate reporting on budget vs. actual costs and investigating variances.As a Part-Qualified CIMA or Qualified AAT Management Accountant, you will have the experience and commercial awareness of assisting with budget setting, forecasting and the production of these monthly reports along with commentary on variances.Working with the site management team, you will get to understand the day-to-day operational aspect of the business, allowing you to drive efficiency savings and report on raw material costs, monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances, undertake cost analysis and manage cost control initiatives, as well as collaborating with production and operations teams to optimise financial performance.

Any experience of gross margin sales (subtracting the cost of goods sold from net sales) would be an advantage, but this is not essential. Other duties will involve reconciling supplier contract balances and reconciling payroll costs as labour costs are a key area of focus.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a confident, commercially aware Management Accountant who is keen to get under the skin of business to understand day-to-day operations and support the sites with accurate financial operational costs, preparing reports, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions as the company is dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their customers. You will be AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified CIMA Management with proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting along with an analytical mindset regarding reviewing and investigating variances. It will be expected you will have intermediate / advanced Excel skills and be confident in reviewing large volumes of data.What you'll get in returnThe organisation offers a generous benefits package with a salary range of circa £32,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, 3-days working from home and 2 days in the office, 8.30am-5pm, company pension scheme, annual discretionary bonus scheme, free on-site parking, 25-days holiday plus bank holidays.
