Our client is looking for a Design Manager to join their market leading acoustic engineering consultancy. The firm specialise in designing, manufacturing, and installing noise and vibration control equipment for the construction industry throughout the UK and Europe.

Design Manager Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Full UK Driving License and Passport
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication
  • AutoCAD and Inventor experience
  • Revit and RADAN 3D (Desirable)
  • Willingness to travel and occasional stay away from home
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills

Design Manager Duties:

  • Complete dimensional site surveys, coordinate designs with customers/third-party stakeholders, and produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD
  • Manage the team and streamline the processes between the two drawing offices, including the potential use of alternative drawing software
  • Establish, set, and maintain high standards of drawing practice
  • Implement a robust drawing-checking system
  • Establish and maintain a library of standard details for all product groups
  • Liaise/meet with all stakeholders to ensure that designs meet acoustic, commercial, H&S, quality, installability, and statutory requirements
  • Produce monthly KPIs to be reported to the Head of Projects
