Keeler Recruitment are representing a business based in the Thetford area who are seeking a proactive and dynamic Accounts Payable Manager. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who thrives on change, demonstrating energy and pace in their approach. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and enhance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Maintain an organised system for invoice approvals, payment schedules, and records.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Accounts Payable team
  • Provide training and guidance on best practices, system efficiencies, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and establish clear objectives for team members.

Invoice & Payment Processing:

  • Oversee invoice validation, coding, and data entry to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure timely preparation and execution of payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements to increase efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes, incorporating best practices.
  • Implement new technologies or methodologies to optimize workflow and reduce errors.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting software and excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
