Justteachers is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join an SEMH school in Thetford This full-time role involves planning, delivering engaging English lessons, and marking student work. The students are working at a high KS2 level but are of Post-16 age, providing a unique and rewarding teaching environment.

The school has a supportive and nurturing environment for both students and staff to attend.

This is a full-time role on a long term supply basis, this is due to start after Easter and will last until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to Post-16 students working at a high KS2 level.
  • Develop personalised learning strategies to support the diverse needs of students.
  • Regularly mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to aid progress and development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident and motivated to learn.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching English, ideally at KS2 or above.
  • A commitment to adapting teaching methods to suit the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in planning, delivering, and marking lessons.
  • The ability to provide two education-based references.
