We are seeking a dedicated and positive Art and PSHE/RSHE Teacher to join a dynamic special needs school in Thetford. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with SEND. We are open to applications from instructor teachers, but QTS is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored lessons in Art, PSHE/RSHE to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student progress, ensuring lessons align with school goals
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff to adapt lessons for individual needs
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEND students (desirable)
  • QTS preferred but open to instructor teachers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, adaptable, and empathetic approach to teaching
  • Willingness to commit to long-term success for both students and the school
