Warehouse Logistics Operative - Thetford

Contract Personnel are looking for an experienced Production Operative for our well-established client based in Thetford.

How does the day-to-day look?

  • Logistics and Warehouse Operative
  • Health and safety of all employees in the work area.
  • On time delivery performance in the work area.
  • Productivity (labour efficiency) in the work area.
  • To work to continuously improve housekeeping.
  • To work to continuously improve safety standards.
  • To work continuously to improve material efficiency.
  • Factory, Warehouse and Yard Cleaning including Public Areas
  • Sustained work requiring a continuity of effort, working with light or medium weights. Jobholder spends most of their time in a standing position.
  • Working within the manual handling guidelines.

You will have:

  • An acceptable level of certification or knowledge to allow the job holder to carry out their relevant tasks
  • An understanding of the health and safety regulations applicable to the work area.
  • Literate and numerate both written and spoken.
  • Computer literate – able to use business MRP systems as well as Excel and Word.
  • FLT/ Side Loader Qualification or prepared to obtain.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Use of Bar Code Scanners for stock movements.
  • Good personal presentation, attitude and conduct.
  • Adaptable to suit current and future business situations.
  • A Flexible and willing approach and ability to work as part of a team and   individually as required.

Week 1

06:00 – 14:30 Mon – Thurs

0600 – 12:00 Fri

Any Banked Hours 14:30 – 17:00 Mon – Thurs if required

Week 2

09:30 – 18:00 Mon – Thurs

11:45 – 17:45 Fri

Any Banked Hours 07:00 – 09:30 Mon – Thurs if required

Salary: Competitive
