My client is looking for a Finance Manager to join their family ran business just outside of Thirsk. The candidate will be working within a small finance team and will be reporting to the MD.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Production of monthly Management Accounts and supporting information
- Rolling cash flow forecasting, managing payment of Suppliers, debt collection and bank reconciliation
- Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
- Production of annual budget and quarterly forecasting
- Production of Year End Accounts and liaison with external Accountants
- Weekly and monthly departmental labour efficiency reports
- Processing monthly payrolls, including calculation of monthly bonus payments
- Preparation of VAT and PAYE returns
- Preparation of information for R & D tax credits
- Responsible for 2 direct reports (AP and Sales ledger)
- Preparation and presentation of reports for monthly Senior Management meeting
Desirable qualities:
- Have solid experience within a similar position within an SME environment
- Be experienced with Sage accounts software
- Possess good capabilities with Microsoft office, particularly Excel
- Hold an Accountancy qualification AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA (beneficial but not essential, QBE will definitely be considered)
Nest pension £35,000-£40,000 depending experience Fully office based, 40 hour working week
