Job Description

Role: SEMH Behaviour Assistant

Contract: Full Time

Location: SE19, South London

Rate: £90 - £105 Per day

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Behaviour Assistant who is willing to support key stage 2 pupils with SEMH with within an SEN primary school. Your 1:1 suffers from trauma due to distressing events that have taken place, this has led to behavioural issues such as concentrating, temper and low peer interaction. This SEMH Teaching Assistant role gives you the opportunity to deliver the best guidance for a child who deserves the best opportunity to get back on track.

SEMH Behaviour Assistant | ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
