Role: SEND Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full time

Rate: £90-100 per day

Setting: SEN Primary

Remedy is seeking highly skilled and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant who is willing to support key stage 1&2 pupills within an SEN School setting. To peform this this amazing SEND Teaching Assistant role, you will be support 1:1 a moderate ASD boy, meaning they will need additional support with learning and behaviour challenges.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirements:

  • Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
  • An understanding of basic SEND principalities
  • DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
  • Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
