Job Summary:

Are you an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist looking to further your career in acute neurology? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Band 6 Acute Neuro Occupational Therapist to join our supportive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, supporting patients with a range of neurological conditions in an acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients with acute neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and other complex neurological disorders.

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, doctors, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to optimise functional independence and facilitate early rehabilitation.

  • Conduct cognitive, perceptual, and functional assessments to support clinical decision-making and discharge planning.

  • Educate patients, families, and carers on therapeutic strategies to promote recovery and long-term wellbeing.
