The main purpose of the role will be to prepare and process monthly salaries and monthly hourly payrolls whilst also supporting the Finance Manager and wider finance team to deliver monthly accounts.
Key responsibilities of the Payroll & Accounts Assistant will include:
- Maintain the payroll processing system and records on a monthly basis
- Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant legislation
- Identifies, investigates and resolves any discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
- Answer any employee queries about wages, deductions, attendance and time records
- Creating monthly payroll reports and analysis and posting journals to the general ledger
- Making monthly payments to HMRC for PAYE and any other organisations
- Supporting the wider Finance Team where necessary with monthly reports, sales ledger, purchase ledger, aged debt reports and other relevant tasks
This role is easily commutable via car from Malton, York, Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, Scarborough, Sherburn, Filey, Driffield, Pocklington and Stamford Bridge.
