FINTEC recruit is seeking a Quality Engineer for our engineering client based in Caithness & Sutherland. A fixed term appointment, working remotely with visits to the office once per month or quarter as required, or working on site if preferred. Travel and accommodation paid for by company on office visits while remote working. This role is for an 18 month fixed term, salary commensurate with experience up to circa £35,000, negotiable. Flexible on working pattern.

UK REMOTE, must be able to pass baseline UK security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Support design and delivery of compliant products through the manufacturing process ensuring document management consistency and conform to Quality & company standards
  • Data gathering, processing and generating general and bespoke reports and QA Documentation.
  • Development of company processes, including internal audit activities, measuring effectiveness of processes
  • Verification of products and processes via First Article Inspection Reporting and source release activities
  • Oversight of Change Portfolio to ensure control and coordination of projects.
  • Ensure that adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of non-compliance.
  • Supporting external audits
  • Facilitate the engineering Change Request (ECR) process
  • Administration and configuration management application (Q-Pulse).
  • Technical document review and approval in accordance with agreed schedule.
  • Ensure all forms of drawings/documentation are correctly identified in line with company requirements
  • Liaison with project teams, suppliers and 3 rd parties, ensuring consistency

Skills and experience required for the Quality Engineer

  • Documentation control and configuration management experience
  • Working within a technical domain.
  • Working with quality management systems (ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Administering quality management tools (Q-Pulse, Master Control, Enable).
  • Producing quality related documentation such as FAIRs and CofCs.
  • Able to recognise opportunities for improvement & present solutions.
