Maintennace Operative

Location: Amazon Fulfilment Centre, RM18 7AN

Contract Type: Temporary (initial 4 week contract) Perm opportunities available

Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role:

As a maintennace operative you will play a crucial role in maintaining the optimal condition of the Amazon Fulfilment Centre. Your responsibilities will include a range of tasks, from routine maintenance to repairs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure the long-term reliability of building systems.
  • General Maintenance: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, such as fixing leaks, replacing lightbulbs, and repairing minor damage to walls and ceilings.
  • Toilet Checks and Basic Plumbing: Inspect and maintain toilets, sinks, and other plumbing fixtures, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Tiling, Painting, and Plastering: Undertake tiling, painting, and plastering tasks to improve the appearance and functionality of the building.
  • Ad-hoc Repairs: Respond to urgent repair requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in building maintenance and repair
  • Strong practical skills, including the ability to use a variety of tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
