A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a Security Specialist (Distribution Center) for a permanet contract on behalf of our client, a leading distribution center based in Tilbury.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify potential security risks in supply chain operations.
- Develop strategies to mitigate theft, damage, or loss during transit and storage.
- Create and implement policies and procedures to ensure secure logistics operations.
- Establish standards for handling sensitive or high-value shipments.
- Oversee the use of tracking systems for goods and vehicles.
- Monitor shipments in real time to detect and respond to anomalies.
- Investigate security breaches or losses and determine root causes.
- Coordinate with law enforcement or regulatory bodies during incidents
- Ensure operations comply with national and international security regulations.
- Stay updated on security-related certifications and training requirements
- Train staff on security measures and best practices.
- Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.
- Use advanced tools tracking and security.
- Monitoring reg statement of securyt systems (CCTV, Acces Control, Alarm systems)
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance logistics security.
- Work with logistics teams, third-party providers, and security professionals to ensure seamless operations.
- Liaise with clients to address their security concerns.
Requiremmets:
- Knowledge of the security legislation and best practices
- Experience in conduction training and audits
- Previous experience in the field
- Computer literate
- Driving license
- Flexibility to travel to other national and international sites
Hours:
Monday to Friday : 9am- 5pm
