Summary:
The Group Finance Manager is responsible for leading and supporting of the Finance Team in the provision of timely and accurate financial information for the Group.
Specific Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Day-to-day support of all financial functions within the department
- Timely production of the monthly management information.
- Consolidation of Group results
- Preparing and posting month end journals
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Maintain Fixed Asset Schedules
- Work with Commercial for clearer understanding and analysis of costs and revenue
- Reconciliation with Costings reports
- Produce narratives to the monthly MI results for presentation to the Directors providing insight into areas of focus
- Monthly/Quarterly VAT returns
- Submission of CIS returns
- Submission of ONS Surveys
- Responsible for the efficient running of the Purchase Ledger function
Ad Hoc
- Ad hoc duties, reporting and analysis to support the team to meet their deadlines
- Support decision-making across the Group
- Coaching and development of other team members
- Collaborate with all stakeholders in the business with regard to the financial operations of the Group.
Qualififcations & Training:
- Excellent and accurate PC skills with a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Sage 50/Sage 200 working knowledge
Technical Skills & Experience
- Ability to lead and direct with good interpersonal skills
- Clear communication skills
- Well organised and has good attention to detail whilst still working to tight deadlines
