Summary:

The Group Finance Manager is responsible for leading and supporting of the Finance Team in the provision of timely and accurate financial information for the Group.

Specific Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Day-to-day support of all financial functions within the department
  • Timely production of the monthly management information.
  • Consolidation of Group results
  • Preparing and posting month end journals
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Schedules
  • Work with Commercial for clearer understanding and analysis of costs and revenue
  • Reconciliation with Costings reports
  • Produce narratives to the monthly MI results for presentation to the Directors providing insight into areas of focus
  • Monthly/Quarterly VAT returns
  • Submission of CIS returns
  • Submission of ONS Surveys
  • Responsible for the efficient running of the Purchase Ledger function

Ad Hoc

  • Ad hoc duties, reporting and analysis to support the team to meet their deadlines
  • Support decision-making across the Group
  • Coaching and development of other team members
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders in the business with regard to the financial operations of the Group.

Qualififcations & Training:

  • Excellent and accurate PC skills with a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Sage 50/Sage 200 working knowledge

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Ability to lead and direct with good interpersonal skills
  • Clear communication skills
  • Well organised and has good attention to detail whilst still working to tight deadlines
