Summary:

The Purchase Ledger Clerk role is a vital role ensuring accurate processing of invoices and account reconciliation working within the team to achieve department deadlines.

We are seeking a Costings apprentice to join our fast-paced team reporting to the Cost Manager collating cost data for Group on a weekly basis. Full support and training will be given from the team. Reports from all departments are recorded in an excel based system at present with a brand-new costings system pending, therefore a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential. Outstanding attention to detail required to ensure the accuracy of both data received and presented on a weekly basis to Directors. You will be working within a pressurised environment as we work to tightly maintained deadlines.

Key Responsibilities to assist with:

  • Collation & Input of cost data as part of a team.
  • Ensuring data is received within specified deadlines.
  • Maintaining Costing inbox.
  • Ad-hoc duties, reporting, analysis, scanning, archiving etc.

Key skills & Experience:

  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Organisational Skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Analytic and problem solving
  • Effective oral and written communication skills. Costings is central within the Group, so interaction with other departments may be required.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • A 'can do' attitude
  • MUST have Level 4 in Maths and English
  • Basic knowledge of MS office skills
  • Confident, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with managers at all levels within a business within time.
  • Discretion and the ability to work with sensitive information/ data while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
