Commercial Accountant | Tonbridge | £50,000
We are pleased to support our manufacturing client in the recruitment of aCommercial Accountant to join their busy team in a newly created role. You will support the finance team and be confident speaking with all levels of stakeholder. The role offers hybrid working and the ideal candidate will have experience working in the manufacturing industry.
Role responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Financial Director to achieve the financial targets and objectives.
Assist with monthly financial reviews for stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Provide analytical support and insight on the manufacturing performance to both
Finance and Operations.
Manage product costings to facilitateanalysis and review of stock management i.e. product life cycles, obsolete items etc.
Analysis of cost base to identifypotential cost savings.
Measure and analyse operational efficiencies.
Support the Purchasing Manager with contract reviews including cost analysis.
Assist operations with stock cycle counts and updating of ERP system.
Assist the Accounts Payable department with queries and invoice processing.
Undertake ad-hoc projects and analyses as required
The ideal candidate:
Ideal candidate will be working towards their ACA; ACCA or CIMA qualification candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
Candidate must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
Good Excel skills essential
Good understanding and experience of cost accounting
Good organisational skills with the ability to meet fixed deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
Strong communication and business partnering skills required.
