Job Description - Facilities Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building & Grounds Maintenance:

Ensure the grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Empty bins and collect litter daily. Support the Facilities Manager in overseeing contractors, ensuring high standards of work and hygiene.

  • Health & Safety:

Conduct regular hazard checks and ensure health and safety compliance. Supervise contractors and maintain up-to-date risk assessments. Ensure hazardous substances are handled safely.

  • Security & Site Operations:

Assist with opening and closing the site, ensuring security and safety measures are in place. Act as a key holder and liaise with security teams.

  • Cleaning & Maintenance:

Ensure cleanliness across the site, including classrooms, meeting rooms, and hallways. Coordinate with cleaning contractors and ensure graffiti is removed promptly.

  • Event Set-Up & Support:

Manage room setups for events, assist with event parking, and work with staff to ensure smooth event operations.
