Chief Information Officer – SaaS Company – Kent BasedOverview:We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Chief Information Officer (CIO) for one of our clients who are a very fast growing, market leading and innovative software company.As CIO, you will be responsible for aligning the IT roadmap with business goals, driving digital transformation, and ensuring operational excellence. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s future, focusing on innovation, scalability, and security. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of contributing to high-growth companies, particularly in scaling businesses that have achieved successful exits or IPOs.Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with business objectives to reach £50 million in revenue within five years.
  • Drive digital transformation to enhance product offerings, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Integrate emerging technologies to support growth and innovation, working closely with the executive team.
  • Oversee the design of scalable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure, including cloud services, cybersecurity, and data management systems.
  • Manage technology operations for customer-facing and internal platforms, promoting seamless functionality and efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality delivery of solutions.
  • Partner with the CPO to optimize Agile development and build pipelines.
  • Ensure data security, with a focus on UK compliance, particularly in healthcare.
  • Manage the IT budget to balance cost-efficiency with technological goals.
  • Provide technical leadership in preparing for potential exits, leveraging experience in scaling companies toward acquisition or IPO. 
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience with at least 5 years as a CIO, CTO, or senior IT executive in a high-growth, fast-paced SaaS business.
  • Understanding of the healthcare or optical industry (or experience in a highly regulated environment).
  • Demonstrable success in scaling technology infrastructure and teams to support aggressive growth targets.
  • Track record of being involved in growing companies that have successfully achieved an exit (e.g., acquisition) or IPO.
  • Expertise in cloud-based technologies, software development life cycles, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Track record of leading digital transformation and fostering innovation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
