NOVEMBER START - 12 MONTH FTCLooking for an outstanding opportunity in a beautiful setting with state of the art facilities?We have an exceptional opening for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to support this thriving and highly prestigious institution in leading their busy finance department and managing and maintaining their financial operations and controls.  This is a key role, with responsibility for the day to day management and running of the finance function, including the following main duties:
  • Preparation of the annual budget, including income, expenditure, and salaries, along with supporting schedules.
  • Production of management accounts with variance analysis and full-year projections.
  • Maintenance of monthly finance dashboard.
  • Oversight of financial transactions to ensure best value and practices.
  • Reporting of any significant variances and suggestion of corrective actions.
  • Management of the annual financial year-end process and preparation of final figures.
  • Leading the audit process, preparing necessary documents and audit files.
  • Review of draft financial statements for accuracy before submission.
  • Staying informed on financial sector changes and advise leadership as needed.
  • Review and recommendation of updates to finance policies and the Risk Register.
  • Management of the finance team, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Promotion of new technologies to improve department efficiency.
  • Ensuring the team’s skills are current, providing training when necessary.
Ideal person:
  • CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified.
  • Proven financial background with payroll experience.
  • Proficient IT skills with iFinance or ISAMS as an advantage.
  • Proactive and highly organised individual.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness.
  • Practical, systematic and pragmatic approach.
  • Committed team player with experience in leading and empowering a small team.
  • Strong interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • A good sense of humour and ability to create an enjoyable working environment.
