This is a fantastic opportunity to join this successful independent firm of chartered accountants and to be based from their Tonbridge office.
Although a general practitioner they do also successfully specialise within certain sectors of the professional services’ marketplace.
The firm operate on a national basis but with a core element of loyal Kent OMB’s. The firm are growing organically at a rate of about 8%
You will either be an experienced Manager or a Senior Manager, looking to become a Partner in the next 3-5 years, potentially sooner, subject to experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but highly successful firm of chartered accountants in a general practice capacity where you will manage a portfolio of work across a range of accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT with the support of a small team.
This opportunity would especially suit somebody who is keen to become a partner in the future. The current Partners are looking for somebody to help drive the business forward. There is a very clear route to future partnership and the firm promotes a really lovely, relaxed working environment too.
You will be responsible for a very varied client portfolio, across a wide range of industry sectors, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies varying in turnovers, size and complexity.
As a Partner Designate in Tonbridge, you will be responsible for:
- Oversee your own client portfolio.
- Provide general OMB client accounts and tax advice, and planning.
- Review of Ltd company, sole trader, and partnership accounts.
- Review of corporation tax computation calculations.
- Reviewing VAT returns.
- Preparing and presenting management accounts to clients.
- Be involved in the marketing of the practice.
- Be involved in the strategic direction of the practice’s future.
- Oversee and train junior staff members and trainees.
What about you?
- You will be ACA/ ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience within practice.
- You will have worked as either a Manager or senior Manager within a practice environment and have hands-on experience of daily duties.
- Experience in client management, people management or business development would be advantageous.
The role comes with a strong basic salary, performance related bonus and 25 days holiday.
